From the 5th to the 6th of March, the African Business School (ABS), through its Center for Entrepreneurship, and with support from the OCP Foundation, launched the selection bootcamp for University Mohammed VI Polytechnic Launchpad at UM6P Campus in Benguerir.
Structured as a 12-month academic incubator, UM6P Launchpad supports the transformation of university research into market-oriented ventures. The program targets PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, faculty members, alumni, and qualified external co-founders developing early-stage deep-tech and science-based projects.
The model is built on three pillars: entrepreneurial capability development, science-to-market integration, and venture architecture and delivery. The bootcamp led to the selection of 10 to 15 startups from more than 110 applications submitted for the first cohort.
