This week, the African Genome Centre and AgroBioSciences (AgBS), in collaboration with the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), the UK–CGIAR Center, and the John Innes Center, hosted the second edition of the AfriPlantSci 2025 training course, following an initial edition in Rabat.
The sessions focused on gene editing in cereals, regulatory frameworks for gene editing, and the use of resources such as online genomics databases.
Participants from Morocco, Kenya, Pakistan, and Egypt attended, fostering international exchange on approaches to current and emerging challenges in agricultural science.
