Breast Cancer Awareness Session Focused on Psychological Well-Being and Patient Support

On the 20th of October, the Lions Club and UVoice Student Club, in collaboration with Student Organizations, Leadership and Engagement (SOLE), organized a breast cancer awareness session titled “Beyond the Diagnosis: Understanding the Psychological Impact of Breast Cancer” at the University's Campus in Benguerir, as part of the Pink October student initiatives.

The program focused on the psychological and emotional challenges associated with breast cancer, including fear, uncertainty, emotional distress, and social stigma that patients may experience during and after treatment. Through discussions, participants examined support throughout the patient’s journey.

The initiative provided a platform for dialogue on the psychological dimensions of breast cancer, fostering awareness, empathetic listening, and community engagement.
