Collective Art Exhibition Explored Identity Through Artistic Expression

On the 16th of September, the American Arts Center in Casablanca organized “The Other,” a collective exhibition featuring nine large-scale handmade masks created by participants in Cultur.Ed.’s INSPIRE and NKOON programs.

Developed over a year ago under the guidance of fashion designer Mrs. Angeline Dangelser, founder of Label Oued, the project provided participants with a creative space to explore themes of identity, emotion, and social expectations. The exhibition, first presented at NABNI in Benguerir, extended the project's reach to a wider audience in Casablanca.

Through the creation of the masks, attendees translated personal reflections and experiences into artistic expressions, addressing subjects that can be difficult to convey in words.
