University Mohammed VI Polytechnic, in collaboration with the Institute for Research in Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN), Green Energy Park Morocco, and the “Institute National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët-Boigny (INP-HB)”, inaugurated the Green Energy Park Maroc–Côte d’Ivoire (GEP-MCI) in Yamoussoukro.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Mr. Samir Rachidi, Director General of IRESEN; Mr. Abdellatif Ghennioui, Deputy Director of Green Energy Park; and Pr. Adama Diawara, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Côte d’Ivoire, alongside representatives from Moroccan and Ivorian institutions.
Built on the Green Energy Park model developed in Benguerir in 2017 by UM6P, IRESEN, and OCP Group, the platform expands research and testing activities to nearly equatorial climate conditions. Covering approximately 4,000 sqm, the site features three laboratories dedicated to renewable energy and supports applied research in solar technologies, agriculture, and water treatment.
