The Green Energy Park, represented by Dr. Abdelilah Rochd, took part in the kick-off meeting of the PVSmile project in Athens. The project is funded through the Horizon Europe Program of the European Commission.
PVSmile focuses on digitalizing the entire lifecycle of community-integrated photovoltaic systems to support their integration into smart and flexible energy networks. The project includes a consortium of 28 partners from Europe and Africa.
Within the project framework, the Green Energy Park will serve as the lead pilot site for Morocco, supporting the testing and potential expansion of PVSmile solutions in the Mediterranean region. Activities include deploying digital tools and energy management solutions to support energy communities.
PVSmile will be showcased in nine countries, both inside and outside the European Union, as part of broader efforts to enhance cross-Mediterranean cooperation on sustainable energy systems.
