The Faculty of Medical Sciences, in collaboration with OCP Foundation, launched the first edition of the Ibtikar & Wikaya Program, an initiative designed to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in the healthcare sector.
Since its official inauguration on the 31st of March, it has engaged more than 200 students, resulting in the submission of 20 startup projects developed by 60 students from medicine, pharmacy, nursing sciences, and doctoral programs. Following evaluation by a multidisciplinary jury, 15 projects were selected to advance to the next stage.
This week, the selected teams participated in an entrepreneurship training and mentoring program developed in collaboration with the Entrepreneur Academy. The program helped participants refine their business models, strengthen project development strategies, and prepare for the final competition scheduled for September 2026.
