Laayoune Desert School offered training on environmental biorefinery

The inaugural edition of the Laayoune Desert School (LDS) took place at the African Sustainable Agriculture Research Institute, within UM6P Campus in Laayoune.

The program gathered 18 PhD students from nine Moroccan universities for a week of scientific exchange and practical learning.

Through seminars, case studies, laboratory demonstrations, field visits, and interactive workshops, the LDS introduced participants to essential concepts and techniques related to environmental biorefinery.

The training combined theoretical knowledge with practical exercises, providing a structured overview of approaches used in this emerging field.
