The Institute for Advanced Studies is a transdisciplinary center of excellence at UM6P, independent of any college, department, or school, allowing it to host resident and visiting researchers, academics, and artists of international standing.
Residents are selected to carry out an intellectual, scientific, or artistic project over a period of 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year, renewable, within one of the IAS programs.
Occasional guests are distinguished figures visiting as part of other UM6P structures, particularly within the framework of the chairs of excellence, with priority given to the Chaire Transitions Plurielles, which is directly linked to the IAS.
