<p>On the 10<sup>th</sup> of September, the Policy Center for the New South hosted a roundtable with the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) on the theme “The Path of Africa to Democracy” at University Mohammed VI Polytechnic, Campus in Rabat.</p>
<p>The session explored democratic trajectories across the continent, focusing on the role of elections, institutional challenges, and youth engagement. Discussions emphasized opportunities to strengthen inclusive and resilient governance systems.</p>
<p>The event also marked the formalization of a collaboration between UM6P and International IDEA through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to advance joint research, policy dialogue, and capacity-building initiatives in governance and democracy support.</p>
