From September 30 to October 1, Technix, in collaboration with Deutsche Messe AG/ Hannover Messe, and UNIDO – through its Industry 4.0 and Smart Industry Alliance for Africa (AISMA) – organized the NextGen Manufacturing Summit Africa within the University’s Campus in Benguerir.
The summit brought together industry, academia, and policymakers to discuss Industry 4.0, focusing on digital transformation and skills development for African manufacturing. It addressed digital transformation, artificial intelligence, automation, industrial sustainability, and financing. A core focus was building African talent for emerging industrial roles.
The event also announced the creation of a Smart Factory Academy in Casablanca and launched Industrial Transformation Africa 2026, a continental trade show that will be held in Casablanca under the Hannover Messe label.
