Dialogue with Al Haouz farmers focused on sustainable agriculture and research collaboration

This week, the ReBuild initiative, in collaboration with the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, carried out a field engagement with farmers in the Al Haouz region to explore new opportunities for advancing sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture. The visit aimed to strengthen dialogue between researchers, experts, and local farming communities, fostering mutual learning and the co-creation of solutions adapted to regional contexts.

Discussions focused on gaining a deeper understanding of the agricultural and environmental challenges faced by local farmers, particularly in the wake of climate variability and resource constraints. Participants exchanged knowledge and best practices to enhance productivity while ensuring the preservation of soil, water, and biodiversity.

In addition to these exchanges, farmers benefited from personalized assessments of their land and farming practices through on-site visits and consultations with agricultural experts
