University Mohammed VI Polytechnic through the African Research Center on Air Quality and Climate took part in the Fifth Sino-European School of Atmospheric Chemistry (SESAC5), organized by the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at Fudan University.
SESAC is an international platform advancing education and research in atmospheric chemistry. Its mission is to prepare the next generation of atmospheric scientists to address challenges related to air quality, climate change, and environmental sustainability.
The event brought together over 140 young researchers and PhD students from more than ten countries for two weeks of academic exchange and scientific collaboration.
The 2025 edition introduced new themes such as the application of artificial intelligence to atmospheric sciences, reflecting the field’s ongoing shift toward data-driven and interdisciplinary research.
Through lectures, workshops, and group discussions, participants examined their scientific perspectives, exchanged ideas with leading experts, and built lasting international research networks. Beyond scientific learning, SESAC 2025 promoted mutual understanding and cooperation, reinforcing the shared responsibility of the global scientific community in addressing environmental challenges.
