A look back at the symposium co-organized by University Mohammed VI Polytechnic and the Timbuktu Institute to mark the 60th anniversary of Morocco–Senegal cooperation, held on the UM6P Campus in Laayoune.
The event celebrated two milestones: the 1965 foundational agreement between Morocco and Senegal and the 50th anniversary of the Green March, two important moments that reflect a shared path shaped by vision and pan-African solidarity.
Gathering more than 200 participants, including researchers, policymakers, and institutional representatives from both countries, the symposium featured three thematic panels exploring the evolution of Moroccan–Senegalese relations, academic exchange and research collaboration, and the role of entrepreneurship and food sovereignty in shaping future partnerships.
