Students introduced to musical harmony and jazz structure

During this month, the Music and Dance School by Student Organizations, Leadership & Engagement, hosted a peer-to-peer workshop led by Rhissane El Mehdi, a UM6P student and pianist with “Wanna Be Band”.

The session took place at UM6P Campus in Benguerir, providing students with an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of musical harmony and the structure of jazz standards, gaining insight into how composers construct their pieces and develop musical progressions. It gave a chance to deepen their technical knowledge and connect with peers interested in music and performance.
