The AI4MINE Training Program launched its first cohort

From the 26th to the 28th of November, the AI Movement, in collaboration with OCP’s SBU Mining, launched the first cohort of the AI4MINE Training Program. The initiative aims to introduce mining professionals to the use of artificial intelligence in operational and strategic contexts.

During the three days, participants engaged in a structured program consisting of practical workshops, expert-led sessions, and discussions on applied use cases. The workshops concentrated on AI tools and techniques relevant to challenges in the mining sector, while the expert sessions explored the role of data-driven approaches in operational decision-making.

Real-world cases were demonstrated to help participants connect concepts to practical field applications. These discussions offered an overview of how AI can enhance operations and support the development of mining practices.

The cohort brought together professionals across the mining value chain, offering a platform for shared learning and reflection on the incorporation of artificial intelligence into mining operations. The program supported ongoing efforts to explore how digital tools can assist the technical, environmental, and organizational aspects of the industry.
