Joint workshop addressed HPC- and AI-Enabled approaches to research challenges

During this month, the College of Computing hosted a joint workshop with Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ), organized by Dr Youssef Iraqi at the University’s Campus in Benguerir.

The workshop brought together researchers, engineers, and students from UM6P and FZJ (IAS/JSC) to explore collaboration in high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), digital twins, scientific visualisation, and crowd modelling.

Over two days, participants showcased ongoing research activities, discussed potential collaboration opportunities, including joint projects, research visits, and mobility options, and examined how HPC- and AI-enabled methods can assist in solving scientific and industrial problems.

The workshop strengthened exchanges between UM6P and Forschungszentrum Jülich and supported discussions on future collaborative initiatives.
