On the 1st of December, as part of the INSPIRE program, participants met with artist Mr. M’barek Bouhchichi for a discussion on themes that guide his work, including identity, memory, mobility, and the visibility of marginalized experiences.
During the exchange, Mr Bouhchichi reflected on ideas related to territory, local crafts, migration, and spatial practices, including those connected to burial traditions. He discussed how these elements influence his artistic approach and how creation can engage with overlooked or unspoken aspects of social life.
For participants, the session provided an opportunity to view art not only as an object created but as a process influenced by relationships, gesture, and interpretation. The discussion promoted reflection on how individuals represent, display, learn, and unlearn through artistic practice
