The AI Movement, in collaboration with OCP SBU Mining, launched the second cohort of the AI4MINE training program. This cohort builds on ongoing efforts to strengthen the capacity of mining teams in artificial intelligence and data-driven decision-making.
AI4MINE is a multi-day program that introduces participants to the fundamentals of AI and its practical applications in mining. The training covers the utilization of data to enhance operations, examines approaches related to safety, sustainability, and production processes, and considers how digital tools can support ongoing developments within the mining ecosystem.
The program includes group exercises centered on collaboration, critical thinking, and cross-functional problem-solving. These activities encouraged participants to reflect on how AI can be applied to support evolving mining operations.
The continuation of the AI4MINE program is part of wider efforts to promote the adoption of digital technologies in the mining industry and to support professional development in this area.
