LM6E Marks a Decade of Preparatory Education for the “Grandes Écoles”

On the 20th of January, Mohammed VI High School of Excellence (LM6E) in Benguerir marked ten years since launching its preparatory classes for the “Grandes Écoles.” The model has since expanded to Rabat and Laayoune, improving territorial access to academic preparation.

Between 2017 and 2026, 724 merit- and means-tested scholarships were granted to alumni pursuing studies at selective higher education institutions in France. Admission is based on academic criteria while ensuring representation from nearly all provinces.

Beyond access and performance, the model has delivered lasting outcomes. More than 15% of alumni have pursued doctoral studies or research careers. The Qualifying Secondary program strengthened early academic preparation, reaching 99.6% scholarship coverage by 2025. With female students representing 78% of beneficiaries and selected on academic merit, LM6E stands as an integrated model of excellence and equity.
