On the 20th of January, University Mohammed VI Polytechnic, the OCP Foundation, the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance signed an agreement to strengthen cooperation between public institutions and the scientific & technological ecosystem linked to the OCP Group.
Aligned with the national agricultural strategy “Generation Green 2020-2030”, this collaboration supports agricultural development through research, innovation, and skills building while considering economic, social, and environmental constraints.
It aims to reinforce food sovereignty, inform agricultural public policies, and develop operational responses to climate-related challenges by mobilizing national expertise. Areas of cooperation include soil health assessment, fertilizer optimization, agricultural training, on-the-ground extension activities, and building farmers’ resilience to climate change.
This initiative also promotes coordination of agronomic research programs, development of localized advisory models, integration of digital tools into the policy framework, and support for AgriTech solutions developed in Morocco.
