For the 4th consecutive year, UM6P participated in the 13th edition of the Africa CEO Forum, alongside OCP and OCP Africa, under the theme "Scale or fail: Why African capitalism must unite".
Mr. Khalid Baddou, Chief Institutional Affairs Officer, took part in two high-level sessions. The first panel "Partnering with Morocco to Unlock Africa's Value Chains" brought Morocco to the center of a structural debate — beyond investment pitches and country branding, the question on the table was this: how can Morocco's position as a stable, connected, innovation-driven economy be leveraged to anchor continental value chains that create real jobs and lasting industrial capacity across Africa. A conversation was held alongside AMDIE, ONHYM and IFC.
The second panel was related to Africa's Digital Public Infrastructure fundamentals. Speakers confronted what may be the most consequential question of the forum. As African governments pour billions into digitizing public services, the risk of fragmentation, dependency and long-term lock-in to proprietary systems has never been greater. High level speakers gathered to answer a defining challenge: who builds, who owns, who will run and who ultimately benefits from Africa's digital future.
