From the 15th to the 17th of September, OCP Group, in collaboration with University Mohammed VI Polytechnic and the Al Moutmir initiative, organized a conference at UM6P Campus in Benguerir to mark the International Year of Women Farmers 2026.
Held under the theme “Where Women Lead, Food Systems Transform,” the three-day event brought together women farmers, researchers, public-sector stakeholders, international institutions, funding organizations, and agricultural development actors to examine women’s contributions to the transformation of agricultural and food systems.
The program combined thematic sessions, masterclasses, public policy discussions, and field immersion activities, connecting scientific knowledge and innovation to farming practices and development priorities. A workshop organized in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations focused on the FAO's Global Roadmap for achieving food security in the context of climate action.
