On the 20th of October, the Faculty of Governance, Economics and Social Sciences (FGSES) organized a new session of its Dean’s Conference Series, titled “The Demise of Traditional Aid and the Future of Concessional Development Finance,” at UM6P Campus in Rabat.
The conference featured Pr. Jesko Hentschel from the Faculty of Governance, Economics and Social Sciences and was moderated by Rania Bahssine, a doctoral student at the Faculty. The session examined the evolving landscape of international development finance,

Discussions also addressed the future of concessional development finance, examining how favorable financing arrangements can meet development needs and support recipient countries’ long-term priorities. The conference provided a platform for academic exchange on emerging challenges and opportunities in international development cooperation.
