The Collective Intelligence Consortium (CIC) student club, in collaboration with Student Organizations, Leadership & Engagement, the School of Collective Intelligence and the College of Computing organized the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Workshop under the theme “Roots & Routes: Human-Centered Innovation across Africa and the Mediterranean’’ at UM6P Campus in Rabat.
The international workshop gathered researchers, practitioners, and students to explore the intersections of technology, design, and culture. The concept of “Roots” celebrated Morocco’s cultural heritage and Africa’s design traditions, while “Routes” highlighted Mediterranean exchanges, migration of ideas, and emerging technological pathways shaped by human-centered innovation.
Through discussions, interactive sessions, and collaborative projects, participants engaged with contemporary issues in Human-Computer Interaction, guided by international experts and scholars in the field.
