SATVA training explored satellite data applications for air quality in Africa

<p>From 14th&nbsp;to 18th&nbsp;April, the African Research Center on Air Quality and Climate organized a training program on Satellite Atmospheric Data Validation and Application for Africa (SATVA) at UM6P Campus in Benguerir.</p>

<p>The program was held in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA), Clean Air Task Force (CATF), the International Methane Emissions Observatory (UNEP-IMEO), and the EO Africa Facility.</p>

<p>Participants explored topics including satellite remote sensing, atmospheric composition, and methane emissions in Africa. The program featured demonstrations of low-cost sensors and a UV-Vis spectrometer, as well as discussions on urbanization, economic development, and barriers to satellite data application.</p>
