Seminar explored interdisciplinary approaches in applied mathematics

On the 10th of December, the Institute for Advanced Studies hosted Dr. Tomas Veloz’s residency final presentation, titled “An Interdisciplinary Journey Around Applied Mathematics,” at the University’s Campus in Benguerir.

During the seminar, Dr. Veloz discussed the modeling approaches he developed during his residency, including topics such as computation theory, epidemiology, ecology, collective intelligence, social dynamics, and related epistemological perspectives.

The session also highlighted the collaboration framework between UM6P and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, emphasizing areas for ongoing academic exchange.
