The Africa Business School, through the SOLA Center – Analytics for Sustainable Operations & Logistics in Africa, in collaboration with OCP SP2M, signed an agreement to develop an integrated optimization framework supporting OCP’s industrial expansion under the SP2M Program.
The SP2M initiative is an industrial effort aimed at strengthening integrated and sustainable production capacities across extraction, beneficiation, and the production of sulfuric and phosphoric acids, as well as the granulation of customized fertilizers.
Through this collaboration, the SOLA Center will provide an integrated approach to strategic optimization across the SP2M value chain. The approach combined advanced modules for dynamic supply chain management, energy optimization, and adaptive program planning. It also incorporated the evaluation and valorization of co-products to reinforce profitability and sustainability.
The project’s objectives and its implementation framework are aligned to ensure measurable and lasting impact centered on improving operational performance, integrating renewable energy sources, and enhancing value creation through resource optimization.
