On the 4th of December, the Geology and Sustainable Mining Institute organized its second session of the Sustainability Talks series at UM6P Campus in Benguerir.
The program included two presentations by GSMI researchers. Dr. Ismail Ben Amar discussed work on developing an XRF system for real-time measurement of P₂O₅ content in phosphate slurry. Asmae El Bahi explored research on bio-based reagents for sustainable phosphate ore processing, emphasising adsorption mechanisms and flotation performance.
The session provided a platform for scientific exchange on methods that promote sustainable mining practices. The next Sustainability Talk is set for January 2026.
