On the 5th of February, the Center for African Studies (CAS) organized a session of the World Seen from Africa seminar series titled "Cityness as a Methodological Lens for Understanding Global Change from the Ground Up," at the University's Campus in Benguerir.
The seminar, led by Dr. Sabrine Hakam, postdoctoral researcher at CAS, centered on a case study from Dakar. It discussed how African cities reflect the coexistence of multiple, overlapping global dynamics within a single urban environment.
The exchange provided analytical insights into urban spaces as places for observing global change from the ground up, contributing to discussions on contemporary transformations across Africa.
