On the 3rd of December, Dr. Osman Hamid, the Executive Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Ontario Tech University (Canada), visited UM6P for a follow-up meeting after an initial mission in June. The visit was coordinated by UM6P GLOBAL HUBS - Canada in collaboration with the Direction Entrepreneurship & Venturing team, focused on progressing preparations for a joint hackathon scheduled for early next year through a working session with the StartGate team.
The upcoming hackathon will bring together Ontario Tech’s Brilliant Catalyst and UM6P’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, creating a space for student interaction and collaborative idea development. It will mark the first joint activity between UM6P and Ontario Tech University.
During his visit, Dr. Hamid also toured UM6P’s DICE and Green Energy Park facilities and met with their teams. These discussions explored potential areas for collaboration in entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable energy.
