UM6P and Syensqo launched a joint AI Lab to foster sustainable industrial innovation

On the 21st of October, University Mohammed VI Polytechnic and Syensqo signed a partnership agreement to establish a joint Artificial Intelligence Laboratory on UM6P’s Campus in Benguerir, Morocco.

This initiative aims to bridge scientific research with industrial and environmental challenges, advancing sustainable innovation through the responsible application of AI. The collaboration reflects a shared belief that artificial intelligence, when paired with material science, can accelerate the shift toward more efficient and sustainable industrial systems.

The new AI Lab, housed within UM6P’s state-of-the-art AI-Accelerated Research Center (AI-ARC), will serve as a hub where UM6P researchers and Syensqo engineers collaborate closely to develop next-generation AI technologies for chemistry and materials science. This partnership builds a bridge between academia and industry, turning cutting-edge research into tangible solutions that drive innovation, sustainability, and competitiveness.

Beyond research, the partnership extends to education and talent development. Through joint programs, internships, and executive training, UM6P & Syensqo will empower students and professionals to develop the skills and leadership needed for the industries of tomorrow.
