From October 28 to 30, 2025, University Mohammed VI Polytechnic took part in the 8th Paris Peace Forum, under the theme “New Coalitions for Peace, People, and the Planet.”
This marked the University’s third participation and its second as an official partner, demonstrating how African research and innovation can address global challenges and deliver tangible societal impact.
As part of its engagement, UM6P GLOBAL HUBS – France hosted a side event in partnership with ATLAS, showcasing transformative projects in sustainable agriculture, regenerative practices, and South-South cooperation. The session emphasized how innovation, technology, and partnerships can scale solutions that improve livelihoods and strengthen resilience across the Global South.
Building on this dialogue, President Mr. Hicham El Habti joined a high-level roundtable on “How can we protect science so that science can protect us?”, sharing UM6P’s approach to safeguarding knowledge as a global public good. The discussion reinforced the University’s mission of connecting scientific excellence to concrete societal benefits, from empowering farmers to supporting young innovators and nurturing students who learn by doing.
