UM6P, OCP SBU Mining, EDF France Joins Forces to Advance Green Mining and Energy Transition

On September 24, UM6P, OCP (SBU Mining), and EDF France signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop an innovation and skills ecosystem supporting the energy transition.

The MoU focuses on promoting  green drying technologies through using green hydrogen as a strategic lever to decarbonize mining operations. The agreement was signed by Mrs. Béatrice Buffon – CEO of EDF Power Solutions, Mr. Faris Derrij - Managing Director of SBU Mining, OCP Group, and Mr. Hicham El Habti - President of UM6P. It marks an important step towards strengthened cooperation among the three institutions.
