On the 30th of September, University Mohammed VI Polytechnic, RATP (Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens) Development, and RATP Dev Casablanca signed a framework agreement at UM6P Campus in Benguerir to strengthen collaboration on research and innovation in urban mobility.
The collaboration will begin with a project focused on predictive maintenance for Casablanca's tramway network. An automated, intelligent solution will be deployed on two tramway trains to monitor the overhead contact lines in real time, detect and locate anomalies, and support maintenance operations and service reliability.
The agreement establishes a framework to connect UM6P’s research capabilities with RATP Dev’s operational expertise to develop and test solutions for evolving urban mobility challenges. Through this collaboration, the partners aim to translate research and technological innovation into practical applications that support more efficient and sustainable mobility systems.
