During this week, ASARI hosted a two-day workshop that brought together more than 80 participants, including researchers, breeders, and technicians, to explore ways to improve the value chains of camel, goat, and poultry production, as well as the utilization of Saharan resources related to the animal sector.
Discussions focused on converting co-products and waste, such as manure, into bioenergy and biofertilizers. The workshop also emphasized three projects supported by the Phosboucraa Foundation: Camel4Milk, Hassania Goat, and the utilization of poultry waste.
The event reinforced ties between scientific research and the needs of Saharan communities, supporting ongoing efforts on sustainable, locally adapted animal production systems.
