From the 20th to the 22nd of April, the Chair of Complexities ∞ Humanities at Africa Business School, in collaboration with the Moroccan Society of Interdisciplinary Studies and with the support of OCP Group, held the 6th edition of the World Conference on Complex Systems (WCCS26) at UM6P Campus in Benguerir.
This edition was organized under the theme “Navigating Contemporary Complexity: Transdisciplinary Approaches to Economic, Social, Political, and Environmental Challenges.” The event brought together international researchers to present and discuss recent work on complex systems.
The program featured keynote sessions, panels, and parallel discussions on topics including artificial intelligence, socio-ecological systems, social dynamics, and complex systems theory. Key interventions by Pr. Peter Turchin and Prof. Abderrazak El Albani addressed global challenges and societal transformations.
Alongside the conference, participants engaged with the university ecosystem, including the College of Computing, the 1337 Coding School, and the Moroccan Foundation for Advanced Science, Innovation and Research (MAScIR). These visits provided an overview of UM6P’s approach to integrating research, education, and technological development.
